New site: Reserve Road

This is the latest site for our Coates Park team! These photos were taken on the 28/11/2020 – our first foray into this site. The team has subsequently done a lot more work here and we will post more photos from our next meeting (this coming Saturday 26 Feb 2021).

As you will see, it is a mix of agapanthus, coreopsis, Watsonia and (not visible here) a whole lot of wisteria!

What weed is that? Turkey rhubarb

Weeding along the creekline at Gloria Park on Sun 21 Nov, we found some Turkey Rhubarb or Rambling Dock, Acetosa sagittata. It has these large potato-like tubers under the ground, all of which you have to find and dig up in order to eradicate it!

Read more in-depth information about identifying and removing this weed on the Weeds of the Blue Mountains website: Turkey Rhubarb
